Libérons les données des écrans

I liberate data visualization from screens to transform them into large-format works of art, ready to be admired and to inform in a unique way.

At Wake Up Dataviz, we believe that data should not simply be displayed, but should be told and enhanced to reveal its value and capture the interest of audiences.

My goal is to highlight the work

of these professionals

who manage to inform through data in an innovative, sensitive way

and engaging.

Whether they are data designers,

data analysts, data journalists, researchers, or data artists,

data visualization creators put

design at the service of data to have the greatest possible impact on their audience.

GIVE LIFE BACK

AUX DATA

THE DATA MOMENT IS NOW

With the rise of Big Data and the rapid evolution of digital technologies, data visualization is becoming the best way to communicate our organizations' data. While public and private organizations now recognize the importance of data visualization, most of them still favor technical profiles. However, these new practices require recruiting and training experts capable not only of processing and analyzing data but, above all, of presenting and communicating it in an understandable way, making it a true information tool.

Data visualization!

Behind this project, Marthe Viallet, an exhibition curator specializing in data visualization and former data designer, shares her passion and expertise to enhance information through exhibitions and conferences that she wants to be lively and insightful.

Trained in public law and having started in 2008 in the budget department of the Musée du Quai Branly , Marthe gradually moved towards her passion for graphic design and data visualization.

Since 2020, after a rich experience as a data designer in a business intelligence firm , Marthe has dedicated herself to creating bespoke exhibitions, collaborating with prestigious institutions, companies, and festivals. A pioneering approach.

It is committed to transforming organizations' raw data into visual works that not only inform but captivate and engage audiences.

This website offers a glimpse into the work of data valorization that the organization undertakes, combining aesthetics, rigor, and education. Whether through exhibitions or conferences, its mission is to make data accessible, engaging, and meaningful.

MY STORY

Having graduated with a Master's degree in public finance law, I joined the budget department of the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac in 2008 for a period of five years.

During this period, I developed a passion for museography and visual presentation.

That's where I started to get interested in computer graphics and data visualization, building the first dashboards for the museum, which had opened in 2006.

QUAI BRANLY MUSEUM

2008-2014

In 2015, I trained in data visualization and, in parallel, I joined a firm specializing in market intelligence as a data designer, then head of the data design department.

I create the artistic direction for stakeholder mapping, data visualizations, and maps, printed in poster format, which are offered to decision-makers in major French companies (industry, construction, healthcare). My mission: to support decision-making in complex environments.

CONSULTING FIRM

2015-2020

During lockdown, I met Florian Melki, a data analyst with a similar artistic flair to my own. We observed an explosion of high-quality data visualizations on Instagram and X. These graphics, while incredible, were often difficult to read due to the size of our phones.

That's where I had the idea with him to take these wonders off the screens and exhibit them in large format, strongly inspired by my background in the museum world.

I then created this concept of exclusively themed exhibitions

of data visualizations.
